Investment Associate Position Available In New York, New York

Duties:

Conduct in-depth research and due diligence on potential fund managers and investment opportunities across the private equity space,focusing on those based in or dealing with the Egyptian market and broader MENA region. Analyze fund documents, financial statements, and performance data to assess the quality and potential risks of underlying investments. Assist in building and maintaining financial models to evaluate investment returns, cash flow projections, and portfolio performance.

Prepare investment memos, presentations, and reports for internal stakeholders and investment committee meetings. Support the execution of investment transactions, including negotiating terms, reviewing legal documentation, and coordinating with external parties. Monitor and track the performance of existing fund investments, conduct performance attribution analysis, and prepare periodic performance reports. Stay abreast of market trends, industry developments, and emerging opportunities in the fund of funds and private equity landscape. Collaborate with other team members to contribute to the overall investment strategy and portfolio management process. Assist with ad hoc projects and initiatives as needed to support the firm’s investment objectives. Fluency in Arabic is required for this role to effectively engage with stakeholders in the Egyptian market, accurately interpret financial documents, and facilitate communication during transactions in these markets.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in any field. 24 months of experience as Financial or Investment Analyst. Must have experience with the Egyptian private sector, market, and regulatory framework. Fluency in Arabic required (speaking, reading, and writing). Up to 25% domestic and international travel required per year.
