Vice President, Investment Banking at TD Securities (USA) LLC, New York, NY (F/T)

JOB DUTIES:

Conduct detailed financial analysis of corporate and private equity clients and their portfolio companies, developing transaction ideas and supporting the origination and execution of transaction mandates. Participate in client meetings and make direct inquiry for specific customer information based on prior research experience and knowledge. Research industry and company specific information from a variety of sources, which may include conversations with clients, internal and external partners, industry publications, research reports, area libraries, credit agencies, as well as accessing information through publicly available sources. Conduct valuation analysis using methods that require industry and company specific data as well as detailed financial modeling and forecasting. Develop assumptions about company’s operating performance, profitability, and cash flow generation, as well as debt and equity structures. Prepare and deliver impactful client presentations and help generate M&A advisory and capital markets mandates from clients across a number of industries. Maintain a pipeline of transaction ideas and mandates, and track progress on an ongoing basis. Undertake progressive responsibility for supervisory functions such as assisting in recruitment to identify, employ, and train talent, and assessing work of junior staff.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered, as Associate, Analyst, or related position in finance/banking. Full term of experience must include each of the following: Financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting for mergers and acquisitions (M&A); Researching and analyzing clients’ financial situations, industry and market data, and M&A opportunities; Performing comparable company, precedent transaction, Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), merger, and leveraged buyout (LBO) analysis; Analyzing and interpreting industry and market data to inform investment decisions; Assessing value of private and public companies; Quantitative methods used in financial analysis and investment decision-making; Preparing client presentations for negotiations; and, Bloomberg, CapIQ, and LevFinInsights.

Telecommuting may be permitted within commuting distance pursuant to company policy.25% domestic and/or international travel required for client meetings.

SALARY:

$270,000-300,000.00 per year
