Job Description Job Summary:

Originates commercial, agribusiness, and personal loans and manages a portfolio of loans originated and assigned. Also ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations and the Bank’s written policies and procedure. Role and Responsibilities Managing the quality, growth, & profitability of loan portfolio Managing his or her loan requests through the appropriate channels to provide the customer with a timely decision and to accurately represent the credit risks to the Bank. Understanding his or her loan limit and total customer exposure. The lender is responsible for obtaining the appropriate authority if outside his/her limit. Pricing each loan to meet profitability goals on each relationship. Gathering, analyzing, and packaging sufficient information for credit requests to support the loan decision. Underwriting and documenting all loan requests in accordance with the Bank’s policies and procedures. Loan portfolio performance. Servicing loans within his or her portfolio and documenting the file accordingly. Properly documenting and assuring accurate booking of each loan, within an allowable time frame, according to loan policy and approval requirements. Responsible for proper risk grading of loans within their portfolio. Identifying potential problem credits and exhaust all means to collect them. Clearing documentation and compliance exceptions within allowable grace periods. Performing internal reviews of loans/relationships within their portfolio. All other duties as required

Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:

GED/High School Diploma, College Preferred 3-5 years of banking experience, preferably in lending Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices General knowledge of accounting procedures, specifically related general ledger reconcilement Proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel Ability to operate a calculator, computer, and other office equipment accurately and quickly Organization skills and attention to detail and accuracy skills required Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Must use discretion, maintain confidentiality, and be honest
