Mortgage BankerJob ID2024-11236JobLocationsUS-AL-TuscaloosaOverviewThe Mortgage Banker will beresponsible for establishing and maintaining relationships withRenasant Bank Branch Managers, Realtors, and Builders throughout adesignated service area for the purpose of generating production ofall one to four family residential products (conforming,conventional, FHA, and VA, as well as other products as they becomeavailable). This individual will serve as the facilitator of themortgage loan process and also must maintain productiverelationship with mortgage operations staff.

EMPLOYERResponsibilities Originate all types of 1-4 familyresidential loans Maintain written goals that are created in conjunction with theMortgage Banking Department Coordinate loan production throughout assigned servicearea Maintain prescribed system status report of all loan cases inprocess Report monthly on the calls made to banks, realtors, andbuilders Communicate with the Mortgage Banking department in order toclarify program changes or updates to branch personnel throughoutassigned service area Counsel and communicate with the prospective borrower for thepurpose of determining what loan products would be applicable Schedule appointments to take applications at a location (home,branch office, or work location) convenient to the customer, andwork with the customer in the completion of an accurate applicationand acquisition of supporting documentation Gather additional information required for the closing of themortgage which is requested by the Mortgage Banking Department in atimely manner and maintain a status report of all loans inprocess Assist customer with closing contingencies Prepare Good Faith Estimate and Truth-In-Lending within 72hours from date of application on all applications taken Provide the Realtor (if applicable) with a weekly writtenreview on the progress of the loan Educate and update branch personnel throughout immediateservice area on identification of conforming loan requirements andhow to answer customer inquiries Establish rapport with the local real estate community andupdate regularly on programs available by calling on realtors,builders, and attorneys that have an existing relationship withRenasant Bank for the solicitation of the origination of mortgageloans and to determine product needs and coordinate these needswith supervisor Survey local market areas regularly Establish priority accounts (realtors, builders, titlecompanies, etc.) and visit respective offices at least once aweek Conduct seminars for local realtors and new associates ondifferent aspects of lending; i.e., conventional, FHA/VA, ARM’s,CRA) Become active in local affiliations relative to mortgage loanproduction; i.e., Board of Realtors, Home Builders Association Perform all duties in compliance with state and federalregulations and internal policies and procedures as is applicableto the responsibilities of the position Attend production meetings as designated by management Maintain licenses and certifications, if applicable Work independently in an outside sales setting which requiresreliable transportation Perform other related duties as assignedThe aforementionedduties are all essential job functions of thisposition.

Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required Ability to originate 1-4 family residential mortgageproducts Thorough knowledge of FHLMC/FNMA, FHA, VA, and other generalmortgage banking lending procedures and requirements Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and to dealcordially with the public Ability to organize time effectively Ability to learn and comprehend regulatory directives andprocedures in a short period of time Ability to represent Renasant Bank in a professional mannerprojecting the image of “Customer Focused Banking” Ability to work independently and make decisions followingstate and federal regulatory guidelines Must have a reliable means of transportation to facilitateresponsibilities Physical Demands The physical demands describedare representative of those that must be met by an employee tosuccessfully perform the essential functions of this job.
