We are looking for a Loan Assistant to join our team! The Loan Assistant’s responsibilities include assisting loan officers at the highest level, facilitating the loan process, including preparing and/or reviewing loan approvals, anticipate the documentation needed and requirements for commercial, agricultural, and consumer purpose loans in accordance with regulations, and providing support for co-workers by working as a team to assist the loan officers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Review loan applications and/or customer information provided, and request additional information needed based on type of loan Prepare and/or review loan approval Review documents received for each loan file, verifying the accuracy and completeness of each document Order credit reports, OFAC reports, business entity searches, or other loan specific documents Process automobile title applications Track documents related to loan files – recorded mortgages, final title policies, vehicle titles, financials, etc. Prepare closed loan package for booking; close loan with customers as needed Disburse loan proceeds and process draws on lines of credit Prepare loan renewal, extension, and modification requests, process loan withdrawals and denials Schedule meetings with loan officer to discuss status of new and renewing loans
Requirements:
2+ years banking experience; previous experience in loans preferred Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and passion for excellence Excellent computer and communication skills (in person, phone, and email) Ability to operate in a team environment to accomplish shared goals Ability to prioritize workday efficiently while delivering high-level results in a fast-paced environment Excellent time management, organization, and multi-tasking skills Friendly, courteous, and professional disposition; ability to influence and drive results, processes, and performance
