Position Summary The Commercial Portfolio Manager provides apositive customer experience through managing the clientrelationship utilizing the full suite of Busey products andservices. Maintain a compliant and clean book of business inpartnership with the credit and loan coordination teams. ThePortfolio Manager supports the bank’s relationship managementefforts through preliminary financial analyses needed to makecredit decisions, contributes and provides input to the loandecision process based on evaluation of key factors. The PortfolioManager will report to the Market President or a RelationshipManager II. Duties & Responsibilities The Portfolio Manager will be familiar with therelationships/borrowers in their loan portfolio, proactivelymanaging the assigned portfolio to ensure adherence to creditpolicy, including completing various required actions, such as;Perform preliminary financial analysis, address industry risks,collateral requirements, loan structuring and pricing, Interact with customers independently to address routine andnon-routine client servicing matters in addition to risk-relateditems Prepares call plans and relationship reviews for individual andjoint calls to prospects, clients, COIs Identify and make referrals to other business lines anddepartments Collaborates and communicates with internal/external clientsregarding both sensitive and routine matters External networking and community involvement Make presentations on specific loans and participate in thebank’s loan approval process Offer approval recommendation based on credit structurefundamentals Grow existing relationships through increased borrowings, asappropriate, increase deposits and cash management, and cross sellinto Wealth Management and Personal banking. Negotiate credit transactions Service existing customer relationships to maximizeprofitability

Education & ExperienceKnowledge of:

Strong understanding of credit fundamentals, loan structuringand monitoring, bank policy, and compliance Needs based sales and customer service skills Strong oral and written communication skills Requires knowledge of Microsoft OfficeAbility to: Gather pertinent information and make recommendations forconsidering new opportunities Stay abreast of industry, market trends and information Analyze and interpret numerical data Perform duties with frequent interruptions and time pressuresin highly interruptive conditions

Education and Training:

Requires a 4-year college degree with an emphasis in Accountingor Finance. Requires 5 or more years of banking, finance or sales relatedexperience. At least 3 years’ experience in credit analysis or underwritingpreferred. Compensation and Benefits Salary offered is based onfactors, including but not limited to, the job duties, requiredqualifications and relevant experience, and local market trends.

The role may be eligible for bonus or incentives based on companyand individual performance. (
