Independent Field Inspector:

Jefferson, Madison & Taylor Counties We are seeking diligent and experienced independent contractors to conduct property inspections. This is a 1099 contract position and payment will be based on a per-inspection rate, estimated to be equivalent to $15-$20+ per hour depending on your efficiency and the number of inspections completed. Role offers a flexible schedule. Within your assigned territory, you can anticipate working approximately 1-15+ hours weekly.

Responsibilities:

As a Field Inspector, you will play a crucial role in providing mortgage lenders with essential updates regarding the properties securing their financial interests.

Your responsibilities will include:

Verifying property occupancy and reporting on the general condition of properties.

• Performing various inspection types, such as letter delivery/posting, vacant interior walkthroughs, and insurance repair progress reports.
• Conducting occupancy determinations based on industry standards.
• Completing inspections within an estimated 3-5 day turnaround time, utilizing efficient time management for routing.
• Documenting all findings, including photographs, comments, and form completion, through a mobile application.
• Maintaining consistent communication with your inspection manager via text, email, and phone.
• Direct contact via door knocks or letter delivery will be necessary.
• Certain inspections will require interior access to secured or vacant properties, as well as appointment-based insurance loss inspections.
• The role requires the ability to drive for extended periods.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following:

• Willing to drive to complete assigns in designated area
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience in property inspection.
• Proficiency in using at least one industry-standard smartphone inspection app (InspectorADE, EZ Inspections, or SafeView).
• Current or past experience conducting occupancy inspections.
• A valid US driver’s license.
• A computer with a reliable internet connection.
• A fuel-efficient vehicle.
• An iPhone or Android smartphone.
• Access to a printer.
• Basic office supplies (paper, envelopes, painters tape, ink).
• Availability during daylight hours to conduct inspections.
