We are looking for a detail-oriented mortgage underwriter togrow with our team! Located within Miami-Dade or Broward County.
You’ll be responsible for analyzing and verifying real estate loanapplications while evaluating risks and making loan decisions. Theideal applicant has a thorough understanding of CONV/FHA/VA/USDAloans, is able to organize and prioritize their tasks efficientlyand effectively and ideally Bilingual person (English Spanish).
Responsibilities:
- Verify mortgage applications including supporting documents tobe certain they contain all pertinent information for loanapproval
- Assure that once all information is received it is accurate, itmeets compliance standards, and it aligns with company policies
- Search clients’ employment and financial histories thoroughlyto determine accuracy of all documentation
- Document in detail reasons for approving or rejecting a loanfor our loan officers and clients
- Inquire about any additional information that is needed todetermine loan risk
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft office and automated underwritingsystems
- Strong decision-making and communication skills
- Over 2 years of mortgage underwriting experience or mortgagelending experience is required
- Knowledge of home loans and residential mortgages such asconventional, VA, FHA, and USDA loans, and loan products
- Bilingual (English Spanish)
