GENERAL FUNCTION

The SBA Alternative LendingBusiness Banking Officer III is responsible for the underwriting,origination and closing of government guaranteed small businessloans (e.g.

U.S. SBA 7

(a)). In addition to government guaranteedloans, theSBA Alternative Lending Business Banking Officer III isresponsible for promoting alternative finance products from otherstate and municipal agencies. The SBA Alternative Lending BusinessBanking Officer III maintains the U.S. Small Business LoanPortfoliofor the respective affiliate Bank, including reporting requirementsto specific agencies. The SBA Alternative Lending Business BankingOfficer III is responsible for assuring the SBA Loan files aremaintained in accordance with U.S. SBApolicies and are availablefor a SBA field exam. The SBA Alternative Lending Business BankingOfficer III will promote the various alternative loan products tothe appropriate lending departments within the Bank.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Marketing o Identify qualified prospects by soliciting alternative loanproducts through direct contact with bank lendingpersonnel o Provide advice to prospective customers regarding loan productsand other Bank services o Responsible for marketing the alternative loan products providedby the Bank through external and internal seminars, direct mailsolicitation and media advertising o Develop and maintain relationships with various governmental andcommunity agencies by serving as a liaison to promote the Bank”salternative lending products • Processing, underwriting and servicing of alternative loanproducts o Interview applicants to determine required qualifications forvarious alternative loan products o Responsible for the written analysis, underwriting andpreparation of loan documents for the specific alternative loanproduct o Conduct loan closings in accordance with applicable laws andprocedures of the bank and respective governmentagencies • Administrative o Coordinates the closing, packaging, servicing and if necessarythe liquidation of SBA loans in conformance with U.

S. SmallBusiness Administration standard operatingprocedures o Ensures lending conformance with Bank policies and regulatorycompliance o Ensures that loans are processed according to outlined proceduresfor 1502 reporting o Ensures proper payment of guaranty fee to the U.S.SBA o Conducts training seminars on alternative lending products forinternal staff and customers

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

May supervise SBA AlternativeBusiness Banking Officer(s) and/or administrative assistant.
