About this Position The Mortgage Branch Support Specialist is a hybrid role that will support our Mortgage Loan Officers (“MLO”) by reviewing submitted loan applications and providing coaching feedback to both the MLO and their Branch Managers. The MLO will maintain all client contact and drive the overall mortgage process, but the mortgage branch support specialist will manage the loan pipeline and help ensure loan-related files are submitted on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy and completeness. This role with be an important supplement to our Branch Managers in the field. You will also be supported by Mortgage Marketing Directors and will have significant contact with members of our sales force. The desire to assist and train is critical to our success. This is a hybrid position. Monday – Friday 9 AM to 6 PM Eastern time with occasional Saturday hours The estimated salary range for this role is: 55K-60K Responsibilities & Qualifications
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure loan application meet company standards for completeness and identify any gaps for MLO’s Communicate and respond to internal stakeholders (Branch Managers, MLO’s, Sales Directors) in a timely and professional manner Utilize pipeline reports to effectively manage loans to prioritize daily workflow Become proficient with point of sale and Lender portal/loan origination systems Maintain current knowledge of guidelines and loan programs Build relationships with MLOs Branch Managers Perform other related duties as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 2 – 3 years residential mortgage processing experience with working knowledge of other job functions (origination, closing, secondary marketing) preferred Working knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements Excellent interpersonal skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication abilities Exceptional time management and attention to detail skills are necessary Obtain Mortgage Loan Officer license within 180 days, if not already licensed FHA/VA product experience preferred, but not required Desktop Underwriting (DU) and/or Loan Product Advisor (LPA) experience required
