The Portfolio Manager is to assist Market Presidents and Relationship Managers (commercial loan officers•CLOs) with the gathering of financial data, analyzing the data, preparing status reports, working past dues and matured loans, and servicing the loan portfolio. The Portfolio Manager will also work to insure loans are closed as approved, with complete documentation, and in compliance with all applicable regulations.

Specific Job Functions:

Assist CLOs with new loan requests by gathering and ensuring financials are uploaded to document imaging system, spreading financials and/or completing a Global Cash Flow worksheet and preparing initial credit memo Manage Maturing Loans for CLOs by addressing upcoming maturities at least 30 days prior in order to limit maturity extensions and to ensure originally approved loan structure is maintained. Work with Loan Assistants to ensure appropriate and accurate documents are prepared for closing. Follow up routinely for documentation exceptions (titles, deeds, title policies) to ensure timely receipt of these collateral documents. Manage CLO’s Loan Portfolio so there are zero past due matured loans or payments over 30 days by working with CLOs to collect past due payments. Review and work with CLOs on Past Due reports to include researching loan for accuracy of past due status and requesting any loan maintenance and auto debit documents as needed. Assist CLO clients with loan payment research, loan maintenance and working with clients to resolve questions regarding loan history. Attend Loan Committee meetings and report on any renewals in process. Assist clients with ensuring auto debit set-up is completed as part of pre or post-closing Request Credit Reports through Loan Assistants Special Projects related to the loan portfolio Assist all lenders with construction portfolio management to include: Process and complete builder construction draw request to include ordering inspections, maintaining construction budget and funding draws and seek approvals as needed. Ensuring inspections are properly managed by either completing or assigning to another lender to complete. Ensuring photos at each inspection are thorough and uploaded

Qualifications:
ExperienceEducation:

2-3 years of commercial account relationship or commercial credit underwriting and risk management experience. A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or other related discipline or commensurate experience is required. Familiarity with loan structuring underwriting programs. Knowledge of consumer, commercial and real estate loans, regulations, procedures, and documentation preparation. Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and CRM applications. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, reliable, and analytical. They will also have the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, work in fast-paced environment, and timely and satisfactory resolution regarding loan portfolio challenges. Satisfactorily complete all required compliance training and compliance with all laws and regulations that apply based on the scope of this position. Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance. Must be able to perform job functions independently and with limited supervision. Must work effectively as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be able to perform basic financial calculations with accuracy. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under stress of deadline, requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on confidential matters.

Interpersonal Skills:

Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving and obtaining information, as well as advising or referring, which commonly require shorter discussions.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position with remote work possibilities in the future. Typical days and hours of work are•Monday-Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Candidate must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management.

Travel:

This position may require up to 25% travel between the First Peoples Bank branch offices.

Equipment Used:

Must be able to efficiently operate a computer, fax machine, scanner, copier, printer, telephone, and other office equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work environment with moderate noise.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires the ability to sit at a desk for extended periods of time, reach, bend, walk or maneuver around the branch and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
