PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This position provides customer assistance to Commercial Banking customers and assists Commercial Relationship Managers and/or the Market President with their job duties.
MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB
Provides information and assistance to commercial customers of the bank. Assist Commercial Relationship Managers with scheduling appointments, closing dates, etc. Corresponds with new customers to make sure that their needs were met, and that the transaction has been completed (welcome and follow-up letters) Assists Commercial Relationship Managers by calling customers, sending past due notices, and in the preparation of management reports. Communicates internally with Loan Documentation, Credit, Loan Servicing, Collections, Deposit Services, and Branch personnel. Communicates with realtors, builders, insurance agents, attorneys, appraisers, and others in preparation for applications, pre- and post-closings. Coordinate documentation of loans with the assistance of the Commercial Relationship Manager Coordinates collateral releases (partial releases – subdivision development) Coordinate exception clearing, insurance tracking and resolution, and other post-closing items. Administers loan closings when lenders are unavailable. Administer all loan disbursements. Assists in the opening of commercial depository accounts with the Commercial Relationship Banker. Provides administrative assistance to the Market President. Actively participates in community organizations and bank sponsored events.
WHAT WILL YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Bachelor’s degree in finance or related fields or equivalent experience preferred. One to three years of experience in a commercial lending environment with a demonstrated understanding of commercial lending processes including loan documentation. Good understanding of financial institution products and services. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Knowledge and understanding of commercial lending practices, commercial lending terminology, loan documentation and loan servicing requirements. Knowledge of legal issues surrounding the perfection of a security interest and authority to borrow. Knowledge of marketing and sales practices Knowledge of bank loan policy and regulations. Good communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver oral and written presentations. Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office. Familiar with Baker Hill NextGen loan system. Time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to sell Home Bank products and services within local community Capability to interpret financial information and data and determine the value of collateral offered Ability to identify and develop relationship strategies for retention and client expansion
