Commercial Portfolio Manager – General Position The CommercialLending Portfolio Manager II is responsible for evaluating andpreparing commercial loan applications and recommendingapproval/disapproval of complex commercial loans in a timely mannerwhile adhering to bank standards and loan policies. The PortfolioManager will work with the senior manager or Commercial Lenders tomeet client expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
TheCommercial Lending Portfolio Manager will learn to underwrite loanrequests which include new loans, amendments, extensions,modifications, and renewals. Responsible for performing andreviewing financial analyses and producing a cash flow worksheet.
Analyze financial statements, industry and market data and preparescredit approval package that clearly outlines and expresses anindependent opinion on key considerations in the credit decision.
Work with Lender in evaluating the general contractor and propertymanagement company, if applicable. Work with Commercial Lenders inreviewing borrowing certificates to assess compliance. Pull creditreports. Work with lender to produce term sheets and commitmentletters. Review draw requests and coordinates property inspectionand certification of draw by an independent inspector Track andresolve document exceptions related to closing and all ongoingexceptions. Test performance against original underwriting andcovenant requirements upon receipt of required reportinginformation Work with lender to enter information into nCino andsubmit loan packages for approval. Request financial spreads,global cash flow analysis, appraisals, evaluations, andenvironmental information. Work with Commercial Lenders inobtaining and reviewing construction loan documentation in relationto Borrower draw requests. Gather BBCs, Leases, GCs, etc. Reviewall loan documents prior to and post-closing to ensure accuracy andcompletion in accordance with loan approval. Perform annual,quarterly, or more frequent reviews to assess project performancevia covenant testing, if applicable, and risks associated with theproject, borrower, and guarantors. Remain informed of currenteconomic and legislation conditions. Serve in civic, community andindustry related activities, as needed. Remain current on FDIC,OCC, and State Banking Regulations Maintains a thorough knowledgeof Bank products, services, policies, procedures, and appropriateregulatory issues as related to daily job functions, including butnot limited to: Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy Act; Fair Lending Act;Regulation E, etc. Completes required compliance training andadheres to the Bank’s standard of conduct. Participates in thebank’s High-Performance Rewards Connections program. Makesreferrals to the Mortgage Center and Wealth Management. Performsother duties as requested.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degreein Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a closelyrelated field Minimum 5 years banking experience with at least 2years’ credit analysis experience and working with CommercialUnderwriters and Lenders or a Master’s degree in BusinessAdministration, Finance, Accounting or a closely related fieldExperience assisting Commercial Lenders with high dollar creditamounts Extensive knowledge of commercial and retail lendingservices, documentation, underwriting, regulatory guidelines,financial ratios, credit analysis, and lending duties is requiredAble to interpret and analyze personal and business taxreturns/financial statements Ability to calculate complicatedfinancial ratios and apply accordingly Excellent communicationskills both orally and in writing, read, analyze, and interpretgeneral business periodicals, professional journals, technicalprocedures or governmental regulations Ability to write reports andbusiness correspondence General computer and typing experience withMicrosoft Office Suite, to include Excel, Word, and Outlook Mustpossess attention to detail Work outside of regular business hours,as deemed necessary Ability to handle multiple tasks with dailydeadlines.
