Mortgage Loan Coordinator Acadia Lending Group LLC South Portland, ME 04106 • Hybrid work Job description The Mortgage Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the mortgage loan process from application through closing. This position acts as a liaison between clients, loan officers, underwriters, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of mortgage applications. The Mortgage Coordinator ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies, maintaining a high level of customer service and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for mortgage clients regarding application status, documentation requirements, and loan process updates. Collect, review, and organize borrower documentation to ensure files are complete and compliant with underwriting requirements. Input and update mortgage loan information in the loan origination system (LOS). Monitor pipeline to ensure timely progression of loan files, identifying and resolving potential delays. Coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, processors, and closers to ensure smooth and efficient loan processing and closing. Schedule and confirm appraisal appointments, title orders, and other third-party services as needed. Ensure that all documentation meets federal, state, and investor guidelines. Provide administrative support including file maintenance, record keeping, and reporting. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to keep them informed of loan status and required actions.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. 2+ years of experience in mortgage processing, coordination, or a related role. Knowledge of mortgage loan products and lending regulations (e.g., TRID, RESPA, FHA, VA, FNMA/FHLMC guidelines). Proficiency with loan origination systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
Working Conditions:
Office environment with standard working hours; occasional overtime may be required during peak periods. May require background check and licensing.

$52,841.27 – $64,593.78 per year
