Job Description

VP/Loan Officer

5 3.5 out of 5 stars 910 Weathered Rock Road, Jefferson City, MO 65101 This person will strive to maximize the profitability of the loan portfolio while maintaining credit quality and adhering to the bank’s lending policies. This position requires extensive credit analysis of new and existing loans. This person may serve on various committees as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepares and presents loan requests for various Loan Committees with a thorough analysis and a recommendation. Ensures loans in assigned portfolio are in compliance with all bank, state and federal policies and regulations. Responds to customer’s inquiries regarding MIB’s loan services. Rates and grades the assigned loan portfolio in accordance with established bank policies. Analyzes information from both internal and external sources that reflects the credit worthiness of the customers, as well as the current merits of existing loans. Responsible for analyzing other loan officer loan requests and providing an individual approval/denial vote in senior loan committee. Monitors projects and conducts collateral inspections for properties securing loans in assigned portfolio. Counsels with other loan personnel about specific loan situations, including the Chief Lending Officer regarding developments with the loan portfolio. Maintains extensive contact with customers. Conducts relationships in a manner that will enhance the overall marketing effort of the bank. Actively participate and communicate in the team-based work groups that make up the credit department. Assists with process evaluation to enhance efficiency and performance of the department. Recommends loan review policy changes as necessary to senior management.

Additional Duties:

Responsible for Bank Secrecy Act compliance where applicable in reference to this position. Other duties as assigned.

Computer proficiency:

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities but may assist with the training of new employees in the department.

Work Environment:

This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Flexible work schedules may be allowed when it is feasible, it allows the employee to perform the essential functions of the job and will in no way interfere with providing efficient and effective services. Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates

Time Requirements & Travel:

50% Administrative/Organizational 50%
