DescriptionThe C&I Relationship Manager IV assumes theoverall responsibility, development and management of theirborrowing and non-borrowing portfolio. The Relationship Manager isresponsible for marketing a range of products and services tomedium and large commercial clients and services and originatesmost challenging and complex C & I loans. Manages and develops aportfolio of complex commercial relationships and ensures retentionof total client assets, credit quality and net growth inrelationships. The Relationship Manager will play a vital role inthe growth and development of the commercial banking portfolio andmarket share. Primary focus will be to profile and sell/cross-sellcommercial products to our existing client base, as well asprospects. Position Accountabilities Work closely with internal partners to facilitate thedevelopment of new business relationships as well as developprospects through lead lists and Centers of Influence (COI).Responsible for retaining and expanding existing customerrelationships. Develop and maintain a quality loan portfolio with an emphasison companies with revenues between $20 – $150 million, obtainingdeposits and cross-selling other Bank products and services alongwith building strong customer relationships. Prepare correspondence, commitment letters, loan memorandumsand associated documents as required. Monitor loan portfolio and maintain updated financialinformation. Expand existing knowledge base of commercial and other productsand services, including loan policy, documentation, structuring andregulatory requirements. Ensure the portfolio administration and risk management of eachclient relationship is in compliance with established creditpolicy, procedure and business strategy as well as commercial andregulatory guidelines. Identify and successfully capitalize on cross-sellopportunities and makes appropriate referrals. Execute a call program to acquire, retain and expand existingcustomer relationships. Maintain pipeline of existing relationships and newprospects. Collect and maintain financial information on borrowers andinteract with customers to ensure that all banking needs are beingmet. Assist in mentoring teammates, to include credit analysis,financial spreading and underwriting. Provide financial advice to customers and profitably sellappropriate products and services to those prospects andclients. Work with Treasury staff to solicit treasury services anddeposit accounts. Prepare correspondence, commitment letters, and loanmemorandums and associated documents as required. Ensure that own work is in compliance with applicable policies,procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines. Participate in organizations and projects to establish referralcontacts and Centers of Influence (COI) within thecommunity. Other Duties as Assigned Organizational Relationship This position typically reports to a Team Leader, Group Leader orRegional President Position Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or finance preferredor equivalent banking experience Minimum 10 years of commercial banking experience and a proventrack record of generating deposit and fee income Knowledge & Skills Strong credit skills Ability to independently manage a specialty line of lending andcomplex lending structures. Very strong professional writing skills, can articulate acustomer’s business needs succinctly and accurately in creditpackages Demonstrates effective problem solving and excellentcollaboration and inter-personal communication skills. Possesses excellent C & I lending and product knowledge andorganizational skills. Ability to make knowledgeable loan decisions based oninformation supplied by the customer verified through a rigorousunderwriting process, strong ability to structure loans, strongcredit skills. Proven track record with sales and new business development inconjunction with exceeding sales goals. Ability to work well in a sales driven environment Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time withoutsupervision. Knowledge of applicable laws and regulatory compliance relatedto commercial lending. Proficient computer skills with a good working knowledge ofMicrosoft Office Programs including Excel, Word and Outlook. Salary offered will be based on several factors including but notlimited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. Thisposition is also eligible to participate in either an applicableincentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionaryprofit sharing bonus program.
