SUMMARY:

The SBA Disbursement Specialist is responsible for efficiently reviewing and processing the disbursements for all construction/multiple disbursement loans associated with all US Small Business Administration (SBA) loans.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ensures the timely process of all construction disbursements, which requires reviewing, analyzing and revising construction loan draws per SBA guidelines for the disbursement specialists. Reviews and calculates the disbursement draw funding to the specific line item in the budget. Identifies insufficient funds in the budget line item as well as the overall budget. Reviews and balances borrower’s construction loan budget against bank records to meet borrowers’ time frame to ensure the highest level of customer support. Coordinate with borrower, contractor, vendors, and third-party funds control companies for loan disbursements. Verify that appropriate documentation has been provided for each draw and within SBA guidelines, as applicable. Order and review inspection reports as needed to verify equipment, project progress or completion. Processes all loan modifications for the multiple disbursement loans in the SBA Construction. Department to ensure all draws are being processed per SBA Guidelines. Update SBA Etran with reallocation changes, as applicable. Monitor the interest only period on multiple disbursement loans to ensure that P&I payments do not commence prior to the business being operational. Review and collect final licenses, insurance and receipt of final loan documentation and post close tickler items prior to final funding. Review mechanics liens and/or contractor disputes and provide management with recommended action. Assist with various department and projects as needed. Update Management of loan status Update Loans within Salesforce. Responds to general inquiries on draw status. Completes annual compliance courses. Adheres specifically to all corporate policies and procedures. Also adheres to Federal and State regulations and laws; including, the Bank Secrecy Act and the Anti-Money Laundering Act. Adheres to all levels of our Service Excellence standards. Performs other duties as required.

Knowledge & Experience :

Minimum Education:

High School graduate or equivalent.

Minimum Experience:

1+ years of SBA experience Must be able to work in a high-volume environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy, organization and detail. Must be able to multitask with the flexibility for changing priorities, meeting deadlines and working under pressure. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) Basic knowledge of real estate, escrow, title, UCC, and lender due diligence/verification processes.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

Vision, hearing, speech, dexterity, visual concentration. A valid driver’s license is required. Must have the ability to stand, walk, sit and use hands and fingers. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled. The environment is a professional office with standard office equipment.
