Job Description

Job Summary The Associate Commercial Portfolio Manager is an entry level Portfolio Manager role responsible for managing a limited portfolio of non-complex credits. The Associate Commercial Portfolio Manager will go on customer calls, underwrite credit packages, manage credit risks of an existing Commercial portfolio and act as resource and mentor for Commercial Credit Analysts. Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Work with the Commercial Relationship Manager to meet with the customers and screen new deals. Underwrite credit packages for non-complex new money and renewal requests. Manage a portfolio of existing client relationships that will increase in size over time. Complete annual reviews; review monthly borrowing bases and covenant calculations; monitor changes in the borrower’s industry and operating performance; and identify changes in the borrower’s credit risk profile. Ensure all credit risk metrics within the assigned portfolio are managed within acceptable risk tolerance. Provide back-up support for Commercial Credit Analysts as needed. Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information. Adhere to all corporate policies and procedures, Federal and State regulations, and laws. Complete all mandatory compliance training. Follow regulatory requirements including those pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Customer Identification Program (CIP), and OFAC to assist in the identification, detection and determent of money laundering and other unlawful activities, as well as regulations pertaining to lending and consumer compliance to include fair lending laws. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Job Requirements Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. May consider appropriate combination of experience and education.

Required:

3+ years of progressive Commercial Credit experience. Completion of formal credit training. Solid understanding of accounting, financial statement analysis, and cash flow analysis. Experience underwriting and structuring commercial credit requests. Demonstrate critical thinking and effective problem-solving skills. Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects / processes. Positive, growth-mindset. Willingness to learn and develop and to be an active contributor to the team. Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Products.
