Allfederal holidays are observed. Job Details About the Role Ourclient is seeking an ambitious, execution-focused Loan Officer withstrong project management skills to join their lending team. Thisposition offers the opportunity to independently manage prospectiveloan transactions, overseeing the full loan lifecycle — fromintake, structuring, analysis, and underwriting, through finalapproval, closing, and handoff to servicing and monitoring. TheLoan Officer will play a key role in structuring and underwritingvarious loan types while ensuring alignment with internal creditpolicies. This is a dynamic, mission-driven environment with strongopportunities for professional growth. The ideal candidate isdetail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multipletransactions while maintaining a collaborative, client-focusedapproach. Key Responsibilities Loan Origination and Intake Guideclients through loan applications and documentation requirementsReview applications for completeness and accuracy Collect andorganize financial documents Communicate application status andinformation needs to clients Maintain accurate borrower records inCRM and loan management systems Keep organized digital files anddocumentation Initial Analysis and Underwriting Prepare preliminaryfinancial transaction analysis Analyze financial statements,project pro-formas, and market/feasibility data Evaluate appraisalsand collateral information Identify key credit risks and proposerisk mitigation strategies Ensure alignment between facility plansand projected operational needs Draft clear, well-supported creditmemos outlining transaction strengths, weaknesses, and missionalignment Set up loans in servicing systems per closingdocumentation Support mission-driven capital deployment whileadhering to lending policies Align financing needs with availablecapital sources, including creative structuring options LoanClosings / Document Review Manage loan closings in coordinationwith legal, accounting, and external partners Review closingdocuments for consistency with approved terms Maintain and updateloan closing checklists Ensure efficient, accurate closings throughcoordinated teamwork Monitoring and Administration Transition loansto servicing and monitoring teams with complete, accurate dataTrack loan maturities and borrower requests Support problemresolution and ongoing borrower communication Compliance andReporting Assist with impact reporting for philanthropic, federal,and internal stakeholders Manage data gathering and reporting forgrant and credit documentation Contribute to monthly, quarterly,and annual performance reports Ensure accuracy and consistency inCRM data management Respond promptly and professionally to internaland client requests Perform additional duties as assignedQualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, real estate,economics, or a related field Minimum 3 years of experience inlending, credit analysis, underwriting, or a related financial roleStrong financial modeling and credit risk assessment skillsExperience analyzing borrower financials, project feasibility, andcollateral value Familiarity with nonprofit finance, real estatefinance, and community development lending preferred Experiencereviewing loan closing documents, appraisals, title reports, andlegal agreements Strong project management skills and ability tohandle multiple transactions Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills, including credit memo writing Proficiency inCRM systems, loan servicing software, and Excel financial modelingDetail-oriented, organized, and problem-solving mindsetCollaborative, mission-driven, and passionate about communitydevelopment Why Join Our Client This is an exciting opportunity towork in community development lending, supporting access toessential services in underserved communities.
