We are looking for a Vice President, Business Relationship Manager to develop, manage and service all of the financial needs of an assigned loan portfolio as well as an assigned geographic market. You will enhance relationships by cross selling the Bank’s products and services and develop new relationships from referrals and outside calling efforts. You will have knowledge of the Bank’s policies, procedures and practices in commercial banking along with a focus on servicing customer needs. You may also be responsible for the collection of delinquent loan accounts and overdrafts.

How you will accomplish this:

Manage an assigned profitable loan portfolio by analyzing and assessing client needs and underwrite new credit requests
Provide quality, personalized service to ensure client satisfaction and retention
Provide timely follow up with clients by telephone, written correspondence or personal contact
Analyze client’s financial data and ensure current information is on file
Present complete loan application package for underwriting
Evaluate customers and prospects to recognize and identify both business and personal sales opportunities
Develop and maintain relationships through client and employee referrals, community involvement and sales calls. Track and report this activity.
Perform on-site calling of current customers. Visit 80% of the portfolio clients 4 times per year in person.
Cross sell bank products to ensure continued growth in all areas of the Bank
Participate in business development activities with a focus on prospecting for new clients. Visit 15 prospects per month.
Interview commercial loan applicants. Gather the required information for credit application, explaining loan options, rates, terms and collateral requirements.
Assist clients in completing loan application forms, verifying client credit by completing appropriate credit checks, performing financial ratios, analyzing cash flow to determine if client is a credit risk and perform on-site visits
Complete and obtain all necessary paperwork including loan information sheets, financial statements, insurance and all needed documentation prior to the loan closing
Ensure credit quality by adhering to loan policy guidelines
May be responsible for collection of delinquent accounts and exceptions on a timely basis
Make decisions on overdraft customers adhering to loan policy guidelines
Perform other duties as assigned What you will bring to the role: Associate’s degree with 3-5 years of experience in account relationship management and commercial lending or equivalent combination of education and experience
Comprehensive knowledge of C&I, real estate lending, and loan servicing
Strong knowledge of bank products and services and lending products and practices
Knowledge of banking regulatory and compliance guidelines
Excellent communication and customer service skills; strong listening skills
High level of analytical skills to conduct initial loan analysis and monitor the loan’s progress in consideration of market trends, interest rates, economic conditions and other factors
Well-developed interpersonal skills in order to maximize business contacts and develop a working relationship with current loan customers and prospects
Computer proficiency required, including Microsoft Office suite skills
Effectively manage and execute multiple priorities and tasks
Must be detailed orientated, organized, accurate and have excellent follow through skills
Must be able to make responsible decisions, use good judgment, and problem solve
