Summary/Objective:
The Commercial Loan Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operations of commercial loan fulfillment, processing, servicing, and documentation. This role ensures the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of all commercial loan-related activities, including loan document prepartion, system input, payment processing, post-closing documentation, and regulatory reporting. The manager leads a team of loan operations staff, provides training, and collaborates with internal departments to maintain workflow integrity and customer service excellence. Additionally this role is responsible for the successful execution of strategic and operational initatives undertaken by the Bank. They are a key operations liaison between commerical bankers and credit administration to deliver services related to product, loan structure and the client experience.
Essential Functions:
Manage daily operations for commercial loan processing, servicing, and documentation.
Supervise staff involved in loan set up, and maintenance, payment posting, loan servicing, collateral management, reconcilement and reporting. Establishes processes and procedures to maintain accuracy and completeness of required documentation.
Ensure compliance with federal and state banking regulations. Act as liaison with auditors and compliance officers during reviews and audits. Develops and sets operating performance metrics and standards for speed, quality, and customer service.
Oversees the preparation of reporting for internal departments and external agencies. Coordinates audit requests and processes. Develops training and communication mechanisms that inform the team of regulatory requirements and updates. Oversee post-closing reviews, document imaging, and secure storage of legal instruments.
Cultivates contacts and relationships with key system vendors and core service providers.

Retrieve and compile research documentation as needed or upon request.
Provide support for special projects as assigned, ensuring efficient execution and alignment with organizational goals.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Job operates in a climate-controlled office environment. Much of the work is performed while sitting at a desk, working on a computer, talking on the telephone, and managing typical office tasks. Extended periods of sitting are expected; however, short breaks for movement or stretching are provided in accordance with best ergonomic practices. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with others to exchange information through telephone conversations, electronic mail, typing correspondences, and face-to-face discussions and training with individuals or teams. This position requires manual dexterity and fine motor control for the extensive use of computers, financial crime detection software, and research tools. Requires sustained concentration for analyzing complex data and patterns. The need to stand, reach, bend, or twist is required. This position may involve lifting a maximum of 10 pounds to move light materials such as a laptop.

Work Schedule and Availability:
The Bank maintains a standard 40-hour workweek to ensure operational consistency and employee engagement. While some schedule flexibility is required based on location assignments, availability during core business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) is essential for supporting key functions.
Travel Requirements:
Periodic travel may be required to various bank facilities to support operational needs and to attend offsite locations for employee meetings. Travel is infrequent and scheduled as needed.
