Job Description

Mortgage Origination Assistant 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars North Augusta, SC 29860 Pre-employment background checks, such as criminal reports, credit reports, and drug tests, will be required. Job offers are contingent on successfully completing all pre-employment background screenings.

Hiring Range:

Minimum $ 18.75 Mid$ 20.25 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for selling and cross-selling Credit Union services to current and potential members. Credit Union services are to be promoted using the “member benefit based approach”. Fully complies with the requirements of all Credit Union policies, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act and OFAC Policies. Responsible for assisting Mortgage Loan Originator daily with daily tasks Assists Mortgage Loan Originator by inputting loan applications into software system Assists Mortgage Loan Originator by completing initial mortgage loan disclosures that are sent to the borrower within mandatory time limits Responsible for collecting correct documentation before sending loan file to processing area Responsible for maintaining assigned mortgage pipeline to ensure loans close on time Works directly with mortgage processing/closing area to assist when needed Works as a liaison between Mortgage Loan Originator and borrowers, real estate agents and attorneys throughout the mortgage loan process May be assigned other tasks by appropriate line supervision.

Other Skills:

Strong attention to detail and ability to perform industry related analysis required. Strong selling and communication skills. A good working knowledge of all aspects of real estate lending, including knowledge of all applicable laws, regulations and programs. Proven ability to develop sources of mortgage loan application business.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Window s, Word, Excel, Outlook Email /Calendar and Internet Explorer software. Experience with Encompass system preferred.
