THIS ROLE WILL BE ONSITE.
Our client has an immediate need for a Loan Officer Assistant in their Charleston, SC office. The Loan Officer Assistant will support customers, loan officers, and processors to ensure a positive customer experience and facilitate timely loan closings. Job Responsibilities Review mortgage applications and documents; handle related admin tasks (scanning, emailing, mailing, etc.). Deliver initial and revised loan disclosures to borrowers in a timely manner. Identify and flag incomplete or incorrect loan files; notify loan officers or processors. Contact borrowers or third parties to clarify or collect information. Provide general support to loan officers, processors, and management across loan stages. Manage a pipeline of loan types, including Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, 203(k), and Reverse Mortgages. Deliver appraisals/property valuations and confirm borrower receipt. Track outstanding documentation and follow up to ensure timely collection. Coordinate with title companies and borrowers to schedule loan closings. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. 1+ year of mortgage experience with customer interaction. Sales support, Encompass, and Salesforce experience preferred. Strong communication, organization, and time management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
