Mortgage Loan Originator Lending Hand Mortgage Corp. South Carolina • Remote Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Originator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding clients through the mortgage process, from initial application to closing. You will leverage your expertise in loan origination and underwriting to provide exceptional service while ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies. Duties Assist clients in understanding their mortgage options and guide them through the application process. Conduct thorough credit analysis to determine eligibility for various loan products. Prepare and submit loan applications to underwriting, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate. Maintain knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and ensure compliance throughout the lending process. Collaborate with escrow officers, real estate agents, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transactions. Stay updated on industry trends, FNMA guidelines, and changes in loan processing procedures. Build and maintain relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals. Utilize Quicken or other software tools for efficient loan processing and management. Skills Proven experience as a Loan Officer or similar role in the mortgage industry. Strong understanding of loan origination processes, including underwriting and escrow procedures. Familiarity with FNMA guidelines and Fair Housing regulations. Excellent credit analysis skills with attention to detail. Strong sales skills with the ability to effectively communicate product offerings to clients. Proficient in using mortgage software such as Quicken for loan processing tasks. Exceptional interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
