Role:

Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are seeking a dynamic Commercial Relationship Manager to manage and grow a diverse portfolio of businesses with annual sales above $5 million. You’ll develop and maintain strong business relationships, provide expert guidance, and promote our bank within the community.

What You’ll Do:
Client Relationship Management:

Manage and retain profitable client relationships. Actively develop new business by calling on clients and prospects. Build and maintain a strong network of Centers of Influence (COIs).

Loan and Deposit Services:

Facilitate loans, secure deposit accounts, and sell cash management services. Cross-sell additional bank services to meet client needs. Recommend loan structures, terms, and rates. Oversee the loan closing process, including preparing term sheets and commitment letters.

Community Engagement:

Participate in community activities and events such as Chamber, Kiwanis, Rotary, etc.

Team Collaboration:

Provide guidance to credit analysts and portfolio managers. Conduct quarterly check-ins and develop management plans with goals for staff, if applicable.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure adherence to company loan policies and procedures. Evaluate risk to meet profitability standards. Participate in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training.

What We’re Looking For:
Experience:

Minimum three years’ banking experience in credit analysis or lending. Ability to analyze complex financial statements/completion of commercial analyst training program.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or accounting preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills:

Effective sales and negotiation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Self-motivated and proactive. Proficient in Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Compensation:

Compensation for this position may vary according to eligibility requirements as set forth in UCB’s Commercial Relationship Manager Incentive plan.

Eligibility:

Primary duties involve new business development and servicing of commercial relationships, with 51% of the portfolio consisting of commercial loans. Not participating in an Executive/Management Incentive Plan or any other incentive plan. Must achieve a target level of outstanding portfolio balance plus production of $30 million from the previous calendar year. New CRMs may enter the plan if their annualized production and portfolio are expected to reach $30 million within 3 years. Must achieve 50% of individual goals for eligible quarterly payout. Must not have been placed on probation during the current quarter.
