Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Title Closer to join our team in the title services industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing title files, title procurement, preparing closing statements, disbursing clsoings, communication with realtors, lenders, buyers, sellers and other title companies. Great attitude and ability to work under high pressure required.
Role:
Prepare Closing Documents:
Create and review all documents required for closing, including purchase agreements, title deeds, closing statements, and any additional legal paperwork. Coordinate with
Parties:
Act as the primary point of contact between buyers, sellers, real estate agents, mortgage lenders, and attorneys to ensure everyone is informed and aligned throughout the closing process.
Title Examination:
Conduct thorough title searches to identify any potential issues or discrepancies that may affect the property’s ownership or the closing process.
Review Financial Details:
Ensure all financial aspects of the transaction are in order, including verifying mortgage loan details, calculating closing costs, and reconciling the final settlement statement.
Facilitate Signing:
Arrange and oversee the signing of all necessary documents by the involved parties, including buyers, sellers, and lenders.
Coordinate Funding:
Work with mortgage lenders to ensure funds are available for the transaction, including arranging wire transfers or handling checks for disbursement.
Recording Documents:
Submit all necessary paperwork to the appropriate government offices for recording, ensuring the legal transfer of property ownership.
Resolve Issues:
Address any last-minute issues that may arise during the closing process, such as outstanding liens or unresolved disputes, and work to find solutions.
Provide Guidance:
Offer guidance and support to clients, answering questions and explaining the closing process to ensure a smooth and positive experience.
Compliance and Regulations:
Stay up-to-date with relevant real estate laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure all transactions are compliant.
Qualities/skills we are looking for:
Experience:
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in real estate closing or a related field, such as real estate law or mortgage lending. Strong Attention to
