JOB SUMMARY
The Mortgage Lender is responsible for evaluating, authorizing, and recommending approval for mortgage loan applications in accordance with established policies. This role involves preparing credit memos and presenting loan requests to the internal loan review committee for final approval.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Represent the institution to the public and effectively market the institution’s mortgage loan products. Identify unfilled borrower needs, assess competition, and explore lending opportunities. Develop and maintain relationships with local realtors and developers to promote the use of services for residential mortgages. Attend realtor events in various markets to enhance visibility and networking opportunities. Build and maintain a profitable loan portfolio, aiming to produce at least three million dollars in loans per year.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education & Experience:
Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination or education and experience.
Preferred Experience:
Progressive mortgage lending experience preferred, but not required. Valid and up-to-date NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System) number is required. General hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; long hours and weekend work expected; travel and reliable transportation are required.
