The starting pay for this role is $20.79 per hour.

About the role:;Provides excellent member service by processing consumer loan applications originated through online and Member Service Center channels. Maintains communication with the borrower throughout the entire loan process, delivering loan decisions and outlining any required documentation or stipulations. Ensures all loan documentation is accurate to maintain compliance and minimize risk, while aiming to protect each loan with eligible payment protection. Additionally, consults with borrowers regarding their credit reports to identify needs and offer appropriate financial solutions.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for communicating underwriting decisions to members and obtaining borrower’s signature on all applicable documents after any underwriting conditions have been cleared.
• Responsible for contacting borrower to verify accuracy of the loan application, collecting required documentation, and discussing financing options. Additionally ensure the loan application is thorough and complete by gathering missing information or documentation before sending it to underwriting.
• Consults with borrower on the credit report to uncover needs. Identifies opportunities to offer financial solutions and to enhance the lives of the borrowers(s).
• Accurately calculates and distributes loan proceeds for approved loans.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience:

;Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.

Education/Certifications/Licenses:

;A high school degree or equivalent

Interpersonal Skills:

;A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Typically, it includes subject matter experts as well as first level middle managers.

Other Skills:

• Knowledge of Credit Union consumer lending policies and procedures.;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Consistently demonstrates the Pen Air Experience in all member interactions;
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
