Mortgage Loan Assistant / Loan Assistant 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Miami, FL 33155 Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Loan Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting loan officers throughout the loan origination process, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other industry standards. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in basic math, and an understanding of underwriting and mortgage servicing. Responsibilities Assist loan officers in the preparation and processing of loan applications. Review loan documents for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with TILA and other regulations. Maintain detailed records of loan applications and contracts. Conduct preliminary underwriting assessments to determine borrower eligibility. Utilize 10 key typing skills to input data efficiently into our loan processing system. Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary documentation and answer inquiries. Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely processing of loans. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to loan origination. Requirements Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and TILA is preferred. Previous experience in loan origination or mortgage servicing is a plus. Strong understanding of basic math principles for accurate calculations. Proficient in using computer software for data entry and document management. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
