Job Summary:

The primary function of the Mortgage Services Specialist is to process all real estate loan funding and post-closing tasks, including working with Closing Agents to obtain missing information or documents. Other functions include maintaining and scanning of the credit/legal files and preparing loans for loans sales by preparing & recording assignments of mortgage, preparing allonges, requesting special reports and following-up on post-closing exceptions pertaining to the loan sale package. Secondary functions include assisting with quality control projects as assigned by the Loan Services Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

Management reserves the right to revise the job or to require that other or different tasks be performed when circumstances change (i.e. emergencies, rush jobs, change in workload, or technological developments). Works with the Real Estate Origination team to successfully fund all residential and commercial real estate loans. Coordinate the new loan setup functions with our subservicer, DMI. Review all new loan setup for accuracy Follows-up with the reviews of all Residential and Commercial Real Estate loan documents to determine if all critical loan documents have been received, are accurately completed and are duly executed. Works with Closing Agents to obtain missing information and/or documents. Maintain the “do-not-pledge” list. Maintains all credit & legal files for new loans, ensuring the files are scanned and delivered to the offsite custodian. Prepare and record the final documentation required for loan sales. Assists with preparing / gathering documentation required for various audits, including due diligence. Performs any other duties and functions as required by supervisor.

Understanding of standard loan documentation for residential and commercial real estate loans. Maintain an effective team-oriented working relationship with all departments and Bank personnel. Education and Experience:

HS Diploma or AA Degree in Business, Mortgage related field or any combination of education, training, and minimum 2 years’ experience in banking development that will provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Language Skills:

Speak, read, and write English.
