BASIC PURPOSE
Responsible for understanding the compliance requirements of assigned properties and ensuring that each applicant file is in proper condition prior to move-in. Responsible for gathering, verifying and data entry of key details for a resident application.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Collect, verify and key information into software system for all of the applicant’s financial material. Must gather data from multiple sources and work on more than one housing application at once. Work directly with applicants and community staff to obtain necessary documentation and clarifications to confirm program eligibility. Ensure accurate data entry of all information entered into Software. Maintain good customer service when dealing with applicants through written communication methods. Provide support to community staff. Responsible for the review, income calculation, and verification of all application paperwork based on Low Income Housing Tax Credit and Market guidelines prior to approval for move-in. Manage additional responsibilities as may be periodically assigned by Application Support Manager. Maintain strict adherence to confidentiality and regulations by complying with established procedures. Pay for this position is commensurate with experience of candidate. Qualifications Knowledge and Experience High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Knowledge of state specific requirements for assigned states. Intermediate knowledge of computer programs including, but not limited to MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Property Management Software. Must possess a positive attitude, excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills and develop positive working relationships with both internal and external team members. Must have the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, resolve conflicts, be proactive, work independently and follow tasks through to completion. Duties also require attention to detail and the ability to analyze complex data. One year of experience with determining TAX CREDIT/AFFORDABLE/LIHTC and
YARDI SOFTWARE
is HIGHLY preferred. Experience with detail-oriented work such as property management (including leasing), banking, loan processing, underwriting, accounting or other affordable housing programs is also preferred. Ability to speak, read and write English for safety and productivity reasons.
