Mortgage Loan Assistant Northstar Mortgage Advisors Marietta, GA 30064 • Hybrid work Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Loan Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support loan officers in the loan origination process, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and assisting in various aspects of mortgage servicing. This role is critical in providing exceptional service to clients while maintaining accurate documentation throughout the loan process. Duties Assist loan officers in gathering and preparing necessary documentation for loan applications. Conduct credit analysis to assess borrower eligibility and risk factors. Collaborate with underwriting teams to ensure all loans meet company and regulatory standards. Maintain accurate records of contracts, escrow details, and other relevant documents. Provide support in the loan origination process, including inputting data into the loan management system. Communicate effectively with clients, real estate agents, and others throughout the loan process. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and company policies. Perform basic math calculations related to loan amounts, interest rates, and payment schedules. Experience Previous experience in a banking or financial mortgage services environment. Familiarity with loan origination processes. Strong analytical skills with an ability to conduct thorough credit analysis. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and team members. Must be able to work with different personality types Proficiency in using computer software for data entry and document management.
