The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the mortgage loan process by ensuring timely and accurate processing of loan applications. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of financial services, particularly in relation to loan origination and underwriting. Responsibilities Review and verify loan applications for accuracy and completeness. Gather necessary documentation from borrowers, including income verification, credit reports, and asset statements. Process loans in accordance with FNMA guidelines and TILA regulations. Collaborate with underwriters to resolve any issues or discrepancies in loan files. Maintain communication with borrowers throughout the processing phase to keep them informed of their application status. Prepare contracts and ensure all necessary disclosures are provided to borrowers. Utilize basic math skills for calculations related to loan amounts, interest rates, and payment schedules. Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks efficiently. Qualifications Previous experience in mortgage processing or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with loan origination systems and underwriting processes is a plus. Strong understanding of financial services terminology and practices. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficient in basic math calculations relevant to mortgage processing.
