Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Reviews and inputs incoming documents (i.e. VOE, VOD, credit, etc.) into Mortgage Loan Operating System (LOS)Reviews residential loan application file to verify that application data is complete and meets establishment standards, including type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities, and length of employment.

Reruns Automated Underwriting System (AUS) to ensure same automated decision is applicableRecommends that loan not meeting standards be deniedCalls specified companies to obtain property abstract, survey, and appraisal if neededDetermines if appraisal is to be ordered and what typeReviews appraisal for errors and meets underwriting criteria and notifies lender of any discrepanciesInforms supervisor of discrepancies in title or surveyAssembles file in electronic imaging system and reviews for completeness and accuracyNotes the estimated closing date and type of transactionReads notepad for pertinent information not obvious in file, identifies missing items and notifies appropriate partyOrders updates to credit reportRequests needed documentation not previously requestedReconciles LOS and AUSGathers all required documentation prior to closing and resubmits for final approvalSubmits mortgage loan application file for underwriting approvalOrders flood determinationTypes and mails approval and denial letters to applicantsConfirms closing date and location of closingSends out construction package if necessary to branch lendersPrepares closing sheet and sends file to closing department for settlementNotates denial or withdrawal status in LOS and prints appropriate packageSubmits denied files to underwriting for review and signaturesReconciles fees to determine if funds are missingRecords data on status of loans, including number of new applications and loans approved, canceled, or denied

Minimum Required Education and Experience:
Required:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree and four to six years related experience and/or training

Experience Preferred:

Four to six years of mortgage lending or similar finacial experience and/or education.
