Full Job Description PURPOSE:

The Mortgage Loan Processor assumes primary responsibility for the mortgage loan application, from post-disclosure until closing. Reconciles information provided in the application against information in the file. Works closely with internal/external customers through daily contact providing updates and requesting additional documentation. Serves as the main contact with the customer, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring the file is complete for underwriting. Clears any issues discovered during underwriting, coordinating with third parties and the borrower.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Identify for underwriting items deemed as missing or incorrect. Submits files to underwriting. Follows up with borrower and third parties for missing items and loan conditions identified by underwriting. Conducts weekly pipeline meetings with assigned Loan Originators. Monitors sales contract dates to ensure timeliness. Monitors rate lock expiration dates. Ensures the quality and quantity of work is maintained at acceptable levels. Reviews borrower documents, and verifies completion, accuracy, adherence to guidelines. Provides prompt and quality service to internal and external customers. Ensure closings are scheduled within the proper timeframes dependent upon loan program. Quality control and boarding for all consumer loans, including GL reconciliation. Assist Loan Closer in preparing closing packages. Responsible for updating and maintaining Procedures Manuals. Secondary Market support as needed Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Three years of loan processing, including TRID, preferred. Associate degree in business preferred, High School graduate or equivalent required Strong oral and written communication skills Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Experience with Encompass and Meridianlink preferred, and

Secondary Market Underwriting EFFORT:

Able to meet strict deadlines. Work includes changing priorities for multiple, simultaneous projects Needs to be able to move about inside the office space to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. May work in confined areas. Essential to follow written and verbal directions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, photocopiers, and scanners. Use of hands and fingers to handle/ operate a computer and other office machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, telephone, scanner, computer printer. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance visions, ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

General office environment, cubicle setting, open floor plan, high noise level and frequent distractions from coworkers.
