About this position:

The Mortgage Setup Specialist is responsible for staying current on appraisal, title, and government loan requirements to ensure LMCU remains in full compliance. This role also includes ordering appraisals, title work, and other necessary documentation to support the mortgage loan process. What you’ll do: Order appraisals, title work, and other required documentation to support timely loan processing. Maintain clear and professional communication with LMCU team members, appraisers, and third-party vendors. Monitor the Empower task pipeline and review loan/task requirements prior to placing orders; follow up with Loan Officers when additional information is needed. Review and assign appraisal orders in Mercury; monitor progress and ensure completion upon return from appraiser. Complete and submit Title Request Forms to title companies, copying the assigned Processor on all communications. Evaluate flood-related tasks and place new flood orders when property details such as address or type have changed. Process government loan requirements, including ordering FHA Case Numbers, VA Certificates of Eligibility and Appraisals, RD Appraisals, and MSHDA Reservations. Manage the Setup Inbox on assigned days, responding to incoming requests and tasks promptly. Submit appraisal and title orders as requested by team members. Provide status updates on loans or appraisals to Loan Officers, Loan Officer Assistants, Processors, or Management as needed. Collect application deposits as requested.

What You’ll Bring:

Two or more years of experience in mortgage, banking, or financial services preferred, especially in processing, setup, or loan support roles. Familiarity with mortgage-related systems is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent organizational, time management skills, and attention to detail. Ability to maintain regularly scheduled attendance.
