Job Description

Mortgage Generalist First Heritage Mortgage Services 2655 Neshaminy Interplex Dr, Feasterville-Trevose, PA 19053 First Heritage Mortgage Services is a full-service mortgage banking company with over 25 years of experience in Mortgage origination, processing, and servicing. Our experienced mortgage professionals demonstrate exemplary service levels and operate under the credit union philosophy of “people helping people”. The Mortgage Generalist position will assist members with their loan requests, providing clerical and administrative support needed to process and close member loans. The overall purpose of this position is to learn several mortgage functions that are important to the process and closing of a first mortgage.

Responsibilities Include:

Mortgage Generalist will be instructed in the following areas: Date stamp all incoming mail. Assist Openers in preparing and sending out opening disclosures, etc. Assist the Loan Counselor’s in stacking the files for Processing. Assist the Loan Processors with the following duties: Completing the Excluded Parties List System and Limited Denial of Participation. Scheduling the loan closings by contacting the Title Companies and/or Attorneys. Contacting the Member on the status of the pre-approval to determine if they are still actively looking for a new home. Following up with the Member on all outstanding conditions (

Ex:

HVCC Appraisal Form Acknowledgment, paystubs, etc.) Assist the Closing department with the following duties: Filing Title policies. Preparing Satisfaction pieces. Ordering the mortgagee clause changes on scheduled closings. Following up on outstanding closing documents on the loans that are scheduled to close. Prepare and mail the declination/cancellation letters to the Members. Complete HMDA in our origination program. Assist in ordering the appraisal reports. Order Flood Certifications. Complete phone verification of employment. Follow up with the Appraiser on the status of the appraisal report Contact CBC and place order’s for credit supplements. Order Title Reports (American Heritage CU loans only.)

Qualifications:

Two years of experience in an Administrative role or financial institution preferred. Bi-Lingual in Spanish highly preferred. Proficient working knowledge of PC applications (Word, Excel, MS Outlook, and Symitar preferred). Exceptional leadership ability Must demonstrate flexibility, initiative, personality, connectivity, and a self-starter. Must have ability to multi-task and have excellent phone and communication skills Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills necessary for servicing credit union members, team members, and AHCU members and partner members. Ability to analyze, identify and interpret member’s problems, questions, and needs. Provide information on a product/service that will meet or exceed member/non-member expectations.
