The Night Auditor plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations during the night shift, providing exceptional guest services while managing front desk responsibilities. This position requires a blend of hospitality management skills and financial acumen to accurately complete nightly audits and maintain guest satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform nightly audits of all financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hotel policies. Manage front desk operations, including check-ins and check-outs, while providing excellent customer service to guests. Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally. Maintain accurate records of room availability, reservations, and billing information. Prepare daily reports for management, detailing occupancy rates, revenue statistics, and any discrepancies. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining organized records. Ensure the security of the hotel by monitoring premises and adhering to safety protocols during night hours. Skills Strong background in front desk operations within a hotel setting is essential. Excellent guest services skills with a focus on hospitality management principles. Proficient phone etiquette to effectively communicate with guests and resolve inquiries. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse guests. Familiarity with night audit procedures and hotel management software is advantageous. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to build positive guest relations through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
