Hotel Night Auditor (part of Hilton) 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars 200 Atrium Drive, Somerset, NJ 08873 Night Auditor Job description Must be available Fridays and Saturdays from 11pm to 7am . Directs and organizes the activities of the front office department to maintain high standards of service. Must be an organized self-starter, innovative and have strong oral and written communication skills. Must be able to analyze and resolve issues that come up with regard to all aspects Night Audit and Front Desk Operations. The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee the operations of the hotel during the night shift and address any issues related to audit, security and any guest related issues during the shift.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring guests’ needs and concerns are responded to in a timely, professional and friendly manner with a focus on service recovery when applicable.
- Respond to guest questions regarding the hotel. Know the lay out of the hotel including all suites, parlors, meeting rooms and all outlets’ location and hours of operation.
- Oversee the audit staff and security during the night shift.
- Perform a thorough audit of all transactions that occurred during the day of all F &B outlets, front desk, and gift shop.
- Generate the daily revenue report and the flash report and check it for accuracy.
- Oversee and perform check-in check-out of guests of the hotel during the duration the shift.
- Perform all back-ups and purges as required to ensure that the all computer systems operate at optimum capacity.
- Ensure that all the outlets revenues and settlements are balanced on a nightly basis.
- Perform room revenue audits to ascertain that proper rates have been charged to proper market segments.
- Perform an audit of the F&B outlets and the gift shop to determine if the payments received match the revenues generated by the outlets.
- Ensure that all revenue distributions are accurate and accounted for, including banquet revenue, restaurant, bar and gift shop.
- Perform any and all other jobs assigned by Controller and the Management staff of the Hotel.
The minimum qualifications for this position are: Hilton OnQ experience required One year front desk experience in a hotel property. Understanding of full service hotel products and guest services. Must be highly organized, results oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast-paced changing environment. Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner and exhibit good judgment Must have the ability to communicate clearly and directly with guests and team members using a positive, clear speaking voice. Must be available to work Fridays, Saturdays and holidays.
