POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for handling any and all guest interaction by taking reservations by phone and in person. Also, checks guests in and out daily. The Night Auditor will be responsible for handling all financial transactions with the guest, and solves or passes along any issues in relation to the guest, will work on hotel laundry, as well as setting up/cleaning up breakfast. This candidate will oversee daily auditing, posting and balancing of cashier’s work for F&B and Rooms. The Night Auditor posts and balances daily work for the hotel, ensures credit card system reconciles to daily transaction list from rooms, runs the hotel’s audit each night, and confirm that all of the daily financial transactions are accurate, assist finance department in preparing month-end reports and acts as Manager on Duty during night hours. This position is 11pm to 7am, 2 to 3 days per week.

Accomplishes all other duties and tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
Education & Experience:
One year experience as a Night Auditor or equivalent experience with customer service and basic accounting experience and/or education.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Accounting Experience — Basic knowledge of accounting to running of software programs, reconciling the bank deposits and cash on hand. Being able to audit and reconcile accounts and bank statements. Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. All employees are expected to provide a High Hospitality Standard in Customer Service. Employees are responsible for correcting and reporting all situations that could adversely affect the customer’s experience. Examples of this would be picking up garbage, cigarette butts, shoveling up snow from sidewalks, etc. Administration and Management — General knowledge of the operations of the hotel including safety, customer service concerns and notifying the appropriate supervisor only when clarification is needed.
