Payroll Manager 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Tampa, FL • Hybrid work Description Join Our Team as a Payroll Manager – Tampa, FL (Hybrid) We’re looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Manager to become a key member of our finance team based in Tampa, FL . In this role, you’ll lead the payroll function for the organization—ensuring accurate, timely processing while staying compliant with all applicable laws and regulations. You’ll also play a vital role in guiding and supporting the payroll team, managing systems, and partnering with departments like HR and Finance to ensure seamless operations. This is a hybrid position with on-site presence required at least one day per week . Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end payroll process for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and payroll regulations. Manage and optimize payroll systems and software, maintaining data integrity and confidentiality. Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, responding promptly to employee inquiries. Generate and submit payroll-related reports for internal leadership and external agencies. Collaborate cross-functionally with HR and Finance to maintain accurate employee data. Provide supervision, mentorship, and training to payroll staff. Develop, implement, and maintain payroll policies and best practices.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Education:

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field

Experience & Skills:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in payroll management Strong knowledge of payroll laws, multi-state tax regulations, and best practices Proficient in payroll systems and software (Paycom, ADP, etc.) Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel, with expertise in functions such as VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data analysis tools Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proven leadership and team management experience High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
