The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and human resources, with expertise in payroll systems and compliance. This role is essential for ensuring accurate and timely payroll operations while maintaining adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. Duties Manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Perform general ledger reconciliation and account reconciliation to maintain financial integrity. Prepare and post journal entries related to payroll transactions, ensuring proper documentation and accuracy. Utilize UltiPro or similar payroll software for processing payroll, managing employee records, and generating reports. Collaborate with the human resources department to ensure accurate employee data management, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status. Oversee accounts payable functions related to payroll expenses, ensuring timely payments and reconciliations. Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries related to payroll processes. Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and best practices to ensure compliance within the organization. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in payroll management or a similar accounting role. Strong knowledge of general ledger reconciliation, account reconciliation, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping principles. Familiarity with UltiPro or other payroll software systems is highly desirable. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including HR and accounting departments. Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. Knowledge of corporate accounting practices and regulations is an advantage.
