Payroll Manager & HR Operations Support ISGF, inc Orlando, FL 32801 Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and experienced Payroll Manager & HR Operations Support to lead payroll administration and provide critical support in key HR functions such as benefits, onboarding, and compliance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong multi-state payroll experience, and understands the operational needs of a government contracting or staffing organization. The right candidate will ensure accurate, timely payroll processing while also supporting the HR team with foundational processes that keep our organization running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Management (Primary Focus) Lead and process weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Manage payroll taxes, garnishments, direct deposit, benefits deductions, and other payroll components. Maintain up-to-date and accurate payroll records, audits, and reports; collaborate with Finance for journal entries and reconciliations. Resolve employee payroll questions and issues with a focus on service and confidentiality. Recommend and implement improvements to payroll workflows and systems. Ensure payroll data integrity within HRIS and payroll platform. HR Operations Support onboarding tasks including background checks, E-Verify, and benefits enrollment. Administer benefits programs in coordination with brokers and providers. Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data compliance across systems. Assist with open enrollment and employee communications around benefits and payroll changes. Stay current on employment laws and regulations related to payroll, benefits, and compliance. Skills and Qualifications 5+ years of payroll experience, ideally in a multi-state or multi-entity environment. Deep understanding of payroll compliance, wage and hour laws, and tax regulations. Experience with HRIS/payroll systems like iSolved. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information. Clear communication skills for cross-department collaboration and employee support. Additional Preferred Qualifications Experience working with government contractors or in the staffing industry. Familiarity with WAWF (Wide Area Workflow) invoicing systems. Knowledge of
NIST 800-171 , ISO 9001
, or Joint Commission compliance standards. Exposure to QuickBooks or integration between payroll and accounting systems. HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) or equivalent experience is a plus.
