Job Details The Payroll Manager will be responsible for theaccurate and efficient processing of bi-weekly and monthly payrollfor employees and loan officers across multiple states. This rolerequires expertise in commission-based payroll, branch P&Lalignment, and compliance with state and federal payrollregulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical,and highly organized, with a strong background in ProLiant payrollsoftware and mortgage payroll structures. Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll Processing & Compliance Oversee and execute bi-weekly andmonthly payroll for employees and loan officers. Ensure compliancewith federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations. Managepayroll deductions, benefits contributions, and garnishments. Serveas the primary administrator for ProLiant, handling system updates,troubleshooting, and optimizing workflows. Loan Officer (LO)Commissions & Branch P&Ls Accurately calculate and process LOcommissions based on company compensation plans. Collaborate withbranch managers to align payroll with branch P&L statements.
Maintain accurate commission tracking and reporting to supportfinancial planning. Payroll System Management & Reporting Overseeand maintain ProLiant payroll software, ensuring system integrityand efficiency. Implement updates reflecting changes incompensation structures, tax rates, and benefits deductions.
Generate and analyze payroll reports for finance, HR, and executiveleadership. Reconcile payroll accounts with the general ledger andfinancial statements. Process Improvement & Employee SupportIdentify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and improveaccuracy. Serve as the primary contact for payroll-relatedinquiries, including tax withholdings, direct deposits, andearnings statements. Assist with audits and regulatory reporting asrequired. Qualifications & Requirements Experience & IndustryKnowledge 3-5 years of payroll experience within the mortgageindustry is required. Expertise in loan officer commissions, branchP&Ls, and multi-state payroll processing. Technical SkillsProficiency in ProLiant payroll software (or similar payrollsystems). Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations, FLSAcompliance, and payroll tax laws. Experience with 401(k)contributions, benefits administration, and incentive-based paystructures. Education & Additional Experience Bachelor’s degree inAccounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field ispreferred but not required. Experience in mid-sized independentmortgage banking environments is a plus. Familiarity with expensetracking for loan officers and bonus structures.
