Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a PayrollManager to join an established team in Durham. The Payroll Manageris responsible for overseeing all aspects of payrolladministration. Reporting directly to the CFO, this position playsa key leadership role in ensuring accurate and timely payrollprocessing for all employees-full-time, part-time, and temporary.

The Payroll Manager will manage internal payroll operations andserve as the primary liaison with external vendors and regulatoryagencies. This role requires a detail-oriented professional withdeep knowledge of payroll systems and compliance with local, state,and federal regulations. Responsibilities:

Oversee and administer all payroll operations, ensuring accuracy,timeliness, and full compliance with applicable regulations. Maintain and update employee records in the payroll system,including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, andbenefit deductions. Coordinate biweekly payroll processing, including input of hoursworked, issuance of manual and voided checks, and properdepartmental classifications. Prepare and deliver payroll reports on a biweekly, monthly, andquarterly basis for the CFO, HR, Benefits, and Finance teams. Supervise payroll staff to ensure timely and accurate payrollexecution and adherence to deadlines. Monitor and manage tax reporting and payments, handle unemploymentclaims and employment verification requests. Build and maintain effective working relationships with externalvendors and government agencies.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience managing payroll in a multi-stateenvironment. Strong proficiency with payroll systems; experience with Paycor ispreferred. In-depth understanding of payroll-related laws and regulations,including ACA compliance. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, Accounting, or arelated field preferred. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation, or willingness toobtain within the first year, is a plus. Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational and timemanagement skills. Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential informationwith the utmost integrity. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to resolve payrollissues professionally and efficiently.
