The Payroll Implementation Manager works closely with clients and interdepartmentally to coordinate and deliver exceptional service to our new clients. This position will work closely with business development, the implementation team, and the benefits team during the implementation process. The Payroll Implementation Manger is responsible for various aspects of implementation including auditing, information gathering, planning, setting-up clients on an HCM platform, entering employee information and loading historical data. The Payroll Implementation Manager position requires a very high level of attention to detail, someone who can work well in a fast-paced environment and someone with a knack for problem solving.

Responsibilities Include:

Serves as a primary point of contact for new clients to provide a seamless transition to CGI Payroll Services Directs and closely manages the transition of new clients from the start of the implementation process. Obtain all required information for a new client setup-up along with training and educating clients on the expectation and functionality within the system. Coordinates and schedules meetings with clients to gather information. Some travel may be required to client sites for initial setup, implementation, and training as necessary. Provides support and trainings to clients during the implementation process on software, payroll processing, maintaining data, and general client needs. Exceptional knowledge of the payroll process and full HCM solutions available. Setup complex earning and deduction codes in the HCM software. Ensure accurate conversion of all system data (payroll and human resource data) from a client’s previous provider, by balancing converted data to reports and tax returns and work cohesively with clients utilizing system output reports to confirm and test setup. Performs analysis of completed payroll and troubleshoots data inconsistencies; identifies trends and potential issues and recommends solutions. Self-motivated with the ability to quickly learn and accurately apply information. Plans and schedules implementation timelines and milestones using appropriate tools; tracks milestones and deliverables to ensure successful transitions. Strong analytical and auditing skills are required to gather information on complex client needs provide appropriate recommendations for payroll setup-up. Understanding of complex client needs and configuring client accounts to meet those needs. Strong project management and consultative skills. Expected to clearly and effectively communicate with new clients and with internal team members in a timely and clear fashion. Maintains positive client working relationships, represents the payroll team effectively and builds trust and credibility to promote transparency. Provides exceptional client service to CGI clients. Maintains confidentiality of all client and employee information. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred Minimum of 3+ years of payroll experience processing a large volume of multi-state payrolls. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) preferred but not required. Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel (formulas and VLOOKUP tables). Auditing experience and basic accounting concepts a plus. Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail. Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills along with proactive thinking to assess client needs. Excellent interpersonal abilities; expertise in building and maintaining business relationships. Superior organizational skills. Excellent communication skills verbal and written communication skills.
