Through our Street to Home outreach program and transitional housing resources, we help people get, and stay, on the path to a permanent home. Reporting to the Controller , Accounting Operations , t he Payroll Manager manages the accurate and timely processing and administration of payroll for non-union and union employees. The y ensure the accuracy of the payroll and mak es adjustments as needed ; and ensure s compliance with laws an d taxes. The Payroll Manager s upervises a payroll team and provides support and customer service for the organization’s employees .
E SSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Oversee the preparation and processing of three bi-weekly and one weekly payroll s . This includes reviewing and ensuring accuracy, investigating discrepancies, and verifying that transactions comply with policies and procedures + Ensure compliance with city, state, federal, wage processing and withholding regulations + Supervise Payroll team + C oordinat e efforts between P ayroll, H uman R esources, and other departments to ensure proper workflow and maintenance of employee records + Ensure accuracy and adequate controls for payroll + Liaise with auditors and assist the Controller with internal/external payroll and tax audits + Respond to payroll inquiries from employees, resolve discrepancies, and provide payroll-related guidance + Prepare , manage , and process payroll related reports, including + m anagement reports + q uarterly and year-end reconciliations + t hird party sick pay adjustments + ACA reports for the Bureau of Labor Statistics and Worker’s Compensation + audit requests + Complete reviews and analysis of payroll and provide and review reporting as needed + Review and process W2s + File 1095 s + Remain up to date and provide direction on changing U.S. employment tax legislations, FLSA and state wage law, and garnishment administration + Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
+ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience + Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) strongly preferred + Expert level experience with Dayforce required + Minimum of five years of payroll e xperience with multi-site payrolls and union payroll complexities; preparing and filing 1095 s , W 2 s , and third-party sick pay required + Mi nimum two years of s upervisory experie nce requ ired + Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word , Outlook , Microsoft Teams , and advanced skills in Excel + Demonstrated commitment to accuracy and meeting critical deadlines EOE/M/F/Vet/DisabledJob DetailsPay Type SalaryHiring Min Rate 82,500 USDHiring Max Rate 82,500 USD
