Excellent benefits offered A downtown Syracuse law firm is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager on a full-time basis. The Payroll Manager is the “go-to“ team member for payroll administration and manages payroll processes for W2, 1099 and K-1 tax classifications. Additional responsibilities include overseeing 401(k) and Cash Balance Plan payroll and documentation.
Essential duties:
Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state and local payroll regulations Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and compliance issues across multiple states Supervise and mentor Senior Payroll Analyst Ensure payroll is processed in an accurate and timely manner Monitor changes in payroll laws, tax regulations and benefits requirements Develop, analyze and maintain complex payroll analytics and reports The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills with the ability to create and interpret complex payroll reports. Must have high attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills. Job Requirements Bachelor`s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field 10+ years of payroll administration experience, preferably in a legal or professional services firm Experience managing payroll for W2 and 1099; knowledge of K-1 tax classification desired Knowledge of 401(k) payroll administration Knowledge of Cash Balance Plan preferred Highly proficient with payroll systems (ADP, Paychex, etc.) and MS Excel In-depth knowledge of multi-state payroll compliance and relevant labor laws Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve compliance issues Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to supervise and collaborate effectively Key Resource Group, LLC considers applicants for all positions without regard to gender, race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, sexual orientation, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, citizenship, veteran status, gender expression and/or identity, or any other class protected by federal, state, or local laws. Salary/Compensation:
