ABOUT THE ROLE

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for assisting in all activities regarding the management of employee compensation within AIDB. You will undertake a variety of tasks such as entering payroll information, calculating wages and making payments.

ABOUT YOU

You will play a vital role to ensure that AIDB’s Payroll Department continue to meet compliance standards. You will thrive in a self-driven environment and work equally well with both management and team members. Your objectivity and outside perspective are pivotal in understanding the issues of payroll and defining the systems workflows that effectively correct those problems.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two years’ experience in payroll, benefits and human resources processes. Minimum three years of data entry experience Minimum three years of Microsoft software specifically in Microsoft Excel.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Harris School Solution (Nextgen) experience. Minimum 5 year’s payroll experience. Educational course work related to payroll.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

. Flexibility in work hours to include nights and weekend. Must possess understanding of internal controls and basic accounting principles. Keep up to date knowledge of payroll laws, personnel policies, practices and procedures. Limited travel to obtain specialized skills or information. Sign language proficiency level of

SURVIVAL

according to the AIDB evaluation system must be obtained within the first thirty-six (36) months of employment. Upon offer of employment, the applicant must submit to a fingerprint background check at an agency designated and paid by AIDB The annual employment period will be 260 days to include such holidays, sick leave, insurance benefits, and other benefits as are established by the President and the Board of Trustees.

SALARY:
