Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will oversee payroll processing for both union and non-union employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulations. This is an on-site position with flexible start times, offering a supportive, family-first work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for union and non-union employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and labor laws.
- Collaborate with multiple departments, including accounting and human resources, to gather and verify payroll data.
- Handle payroll tax calculations and filings
- Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information and benefits deductions.
- Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Generate reports for management, providing insights into payroll expenses and trends.
- Ensure compliance with union agreements and manage payroll complexities related to multiple union halls.

- At least 1 year of experience in payroll processing or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with both office staff and field employees.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Experience with payroll tax calculations and compliance is highly desirable.
- Exposure to union payroll processes is a significant advantage.
- A steady and calm demeanor to manage multiple personalities and work environments.
